The Montana Natural Heritage Program would like to announce that the MSDI Land Cover layer is now for download from the Montana GIS Portal. This is a Montana-specific land cover layer modified from the Pacific Northwest ReGAP project classification from 30 meter resolution Landsat imagery. For more information search the Montana GIS Portal for “msdi land cover”. Descriptions of the land cover types can be found in the Ecological Systems Field Guide.
