Abstract:
Data was acquire during aerial surveys conducted by Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks from 1993to 1996 in Mtn goat Districts 212,213,222 and 223. Aerial surveys are conducted to count and classify Mtn. goats in the area. Data are used by Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks in their management responsibilities to set hunting seasons, determine population trends, and identify critical habitats. Observations were recorded on data forms and locations either plotted on USFS Maps (Deerlodge National Forest) or recorded by specific location.
Purpose:
The purpose of the project is to digitize existing wildlife data for use in the Natural Resource Damage Program. The data is intended to aid in NRDP project planning and implementation by identifying key wildlife habitats.
